XAMPP is a installation package which helps you to build a LAMP (for Linux) or WAMP (for Windows) server in a short period of time. It installs up-to-date version of Apache Httpd (Web Server), MySQL (Database Server), PHP, PHPMyAdmin (Manage MySQL server online), FileZilla (FTP Server), etc. The installation is really easy, user can control individual server by using XAMPP control panel. However, this type of installation package is not recommended for production use, one major reason is that all server passwords are not set after installation.
