PHPEclipse is an Eclipse extension project, provides PHP editor and related tools for developers to create, test and debug PHP applications. It provides a web browser window (within Eclipse), so the developers can view PHP results without opening a new browser window. If DBG (PHP debugger) module is installed, PHP code can be executed line by line, and review all the variables in a watch window.

PDT | PDT is an Eclipse extension project, designed for providing a PHP develop environment using Eclipse framework. It provides a PHP code editor (with syntax highlight, auto indent/outdent, dynamic syntax checking, function tree list, etc.) and PHP debugging mechanism (using Zend Debugger). For simplicity, please use the All-in-one setup file to install PDE (and Eclipse) environment.
