OpenProj is an open-sourced Project Management application. Similar to Microsoft Project, you can create a list of tasks and display in the Gantt Chart dynamically. It provides a range of tools and graphing options which help the project manager to plan, assess and monitor his new project.

First of all I noticed that the gui interface is pretty similar to MS Project and this is important for users that migrate from MS Project.
I have installed GanttProject to make a small comparison and I noticed that GanttProject when it opens an ms project file some starting date are changed.
OpenProj can also open Gnome Planner files but it cannot save it (only .pod (its format) and .xml (MS Project 2003 format)).
In GanttProject is nice the function to send an email to the resource. Maybe it could be nice if there is a in import function of the contacts from vcard of other files
