Joomla is a Content Management System (CMS), it helps to build and maintain a professional web site in a short time. It is based on the Mambo source code; at version 1.0, it is roughly equivalent to Mambo 4.5.2. The core functions include news publishing, online polling, commercial banner control, etc. It has a online control panel, it helps any administrator to add new contents (news, static document or pictures) and set their navigational position. Joomla can be easily extended by installing new addons, such as photo gallery, forum, shopping cart, etc.
