Areca is a desktop file backup software, developed in Java. It can be run on Windows or Linux. It allows you to specify a list of files and/or directories for routine backup. It supports three backup methods: incremental, differential and full backups. Each method differs in terms of backup file size and backup speed. In addition, you can filter, encrypt or compress the backup content, create the backup files on external drives, USB keys, or even FTP servers.

Clonezilla Live can be booted via CD-ROM or USB device. Besides the hard disk and the USB device, the cloned file can be saved on a remote server through the internet.
